Hello,
I would like to introduce you to our
Organization.
Our organization
serves Law Enforcement with training needs for Officers,
Communications and Corrections. The concept of NAFTO was
formalized with its incorporation as a non-profit
organization in California in 1991 and was
reorganized/relocated to a more central location (Colorado)
in 1993. There are State chapters throughout the United
States.
The purpose of this
organization is to promote and foster mutual cooperation
between Field Training Officers, other members of their
agencies, private industry and the public.
To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas
and new techniques.
To conduct training
seminars and conferences in FTO program related issues.
To
research educational methodology so that improvements may be
made in the areas of teaching and learning.
To
educate the membership and the public regarding
apprenticeship training.
To keep
membership, agencies and public informed of legislative and
statutory changes and their influence on field training.
Just
hiring a person and giving them the equipment to do the job
is not sufficient for this millennium. In the field of Law
Enforcement great training makes great Officers and great
officers are an asset to any community.
Once a
year our Organization hosts a Conference for all Field
Training Officers in Wisconsin. We are a non-profit
organization. Due to budgeting, most Officers that
volunteer for Training only receive the compensation that
they have put a better person into the field. This
conference gives the trainers special programs in their
fields and applauds them for their work..
Thank You
